Designer Gaurang's creations are timeless; Sonam Kapoor

Bollywood's Style diva Sonam Kapoor is in awe with Gaurang Shah handwoven creations. Impressed with his weaves she opted to wear a handwoven blue Anarkali created especially for her by Textile and Fashion Designer Gaurang to be dressed for the popular Comedy Nights with Kapil Show.

The Khadi Anarkali with Kanjeevaram Border and matching Kanjeevaram dupatta was inspired by the 16th Century temple art. "For me, wearing Garuang's clothes celebrates what I love most about fashion. Taking the traditional and making it your own. His clothes are inventive, unpredictable but at the same time rooted, everything that creates a timeless and relevant signature" Sonam Said

This is the second time in recent months, Sonam Kapoor opted to wear a Gaurang Label for a big event and once again she wowed the show anchor and the audience with her style intelligence. Apt for the occasion this dress had a vibe that was more couture and elegant reflecting Sonam Kapoor's Power of Style. For her last film promotional show Sonam Kapoor wore Gaurang's Gulbadan ethnic ensemble.

It is indeed an encouragement that Indian heritage fashion is endorsed by style ambassadors like Sonam Kapoor. It will help bolster innovation in hand-woven fashion as well as build high level of confidence about wearing them at each and every occasion. Gaurang said.

When she came up to me and said that she wanted to wear something that is very distinctive and ethnic with a touch of modernity for the show, my first thought was to craft a beautiful blue anarkali and she loved it. Gaurang added.

The style diva had the fashion spotlight to herself on the sets of comedy nights with kapil show.

The award winning fashion and textile designer will unveil a collection of 18 Chandbali a unique collection of hand-woven banarasi sarees and dresses at the Lakme fashion week summer fest 2014 on Indian Textile Day.
