Deepak Sharma bags Best Director Award at NIFF 2014 for WAAPASI

Punjabi Short Film - WAAPASI is in news again and this time it is director Deepak Sharma who has bagged the Best Director Award at the recently held Noida International Film Festival 2014.

One of the most eminent directors of Indian Television with exceptionally artistic skills and creative vision, Deepak Sharma's WAAPASI has already garnered appreciation at film festivals and other events worldwide. This sensible Punjabi Short Film was awarded the Best Short Film -Jury Award at the 3rd Dada Saheb Film Festival 2013. Actor Rohit Bhardwaj, who plays the character of main protagonist in the film, also won the Best Actor Award for his performance at DSFF 2013. WAAPASI even had a special screening at the Punjabi International Film Festival 2013 that was held in Toronto.
