Premia India Runway Week 2013 opens gate for young designers to the Fashion World

Premia India Runway Week 2013 is a new platform that showcases tomorrow’s designers today. It is an initiative of The Indian Federation for Fashion Development (IFFD) to discover new talent and aims to provide a platform to them, giving them a chance to enter the fashion industry and present themselves to a great audience, Premia India Runway week started with a grand opening at the Mapple Exotica, the opening witnessed a huge amount of footfall at the show.

MR.Tarun Shienh, CMD Premia Group, the title sponsors of the event said, "I would like to promote Indian Fashion Industry and upcoming designer by providing a large platform like 'Premia Runway Week' that can create a milestone for Industry as well as Premia Group. I am honoured to be a part of the event, being an entrepreneur and citizen of India; its great opportunity for us to conjoin the Indian Real Estate and Fashion Industry.”
IFFD Founders Avinash Pathania & kiran Kheva said: “We were very eager to organize PIRW as We can imagine how difficult it must be for these aspirants to find their foothold in a sector that is already filled with many amazing designers. Nonetheless, they should not stop trying and neither will we.”

The first show was by ace designer Rajdeep Ranawat with Anuj (Seth Jewellers), showcased outfits in vibrant colors. The USP of his collection were the hair accessories which complimented the outfit, seth jwellers merging a show with Rajdeep added richness to the entire collection, while new designers

Akanksha and Dhruv Arora showcased their collection of RAAS- Contemporary Occasion Wear depicted the change in fashion through decades of modernization and liberation, a gradual shift from traditional to contemporary for which their theme was "Mutation"

Swati Modo Footwear by Swati Mehrotra presented stylish high heels collection that would go with all kinds of garments. 

Rosy Ahluwalia presented her unique collection with ornamental jewelry by AKS Jewels whilst.

Sandeep and Anju Chanana showcased their Studio Dream Collection which displayed Indian Wear in pastel and dark hues. Some of the designs had digital prints on the sarees which were very bold and unique.

Sagar Mehra’s collection of glitzy gowns was very well appreciated by the guests.

Diamond constellation by Punam and Preeti Kharka who had renowned bollywood name Shibani Kashyap as the show stopper, who made the crowd hum along as she walked the ramp singing her popular number “Sajna aa bhi ja....Sajna Aa Bhi Jaa from the movie Waisa Bhi Hota Hai part II”

The Mini Shangle collection by Minkshi Shangle was classy made in bold colors of gold, red, white and black, the collection was versatile to be worn anytime, focused on sensuality and elegance .The Showstopper actress Himanshi Khurana of Sadda Haqq looked vivacious in a golden and red gown.

Shivani Singh’s collection of democrat jeans was very unique .It Showcased some great designs of Denims in vibrant colors to dead darks. The showstopper was actress Nauheed Cyrusi.
                                                     
Ricky Seth was the Makeup artist and hairstylist showcased some wacky hair do for models on ramp and the makeup was flawless. Harry Sekhon the international model and the new entrant in Bollywood was the Show stopper for Ricky Seth.

For the very first time in India sleepwear collection was showcased on such a platform by Megha Taluja of Gingerlily. The collection was chic and looked comfy. Indranidas Gupta the showstopper stole the limelight with her panache.

Tanmay Sachdeva showcased a unique collection that blended traditional with contemporary. The crowd went gaga as Sara Khan, the showstopper walked the ramp.

Saurabh Khandelwal and Rauli showcased there collection that was high on style and designs, with the mixture of simplicity and class.

The much awaited grand finale shows by Digvijay Singh and Amit Talwar with Sulish Verma for Vikas Chain & jewellery left the audience mesmerized as all the models walked with great attitude and grace.
