15 years of Bridal Asia : As it happened

Its that time of the year, when the annual bridal extravaganza, Bridal Asia makes its appearance with a goody bag of handpicked designers with their delish trousseau, jewellery, accessories, silver ware, lingerie, chocolates—basically the works that makes every bridal party swoon with delight. The much awaited and anticipated wedding show is back on the horizon and this edition of Bridal Asia is going to be extra special – as it celebrates its 15th year of being in the business of making bridal shopping, easy, contemporary, fun and accessible.

Bridal Asia 2013 - Asia’s biggest exposition for all that is premium in bridal finery, apparel and products is back with the best and the widest range all under one roof. Celebrating 15 years, Bridal Asia 2013 brings the finest names from the subcontinent under one roof. Bridal Asia - is the pioneer of bridal & lifestyle exhibition in the sub continent that was founded by its founder- CEO  Divya Gurwara.

With a successful inception in 1999, Bridal Asia was indeed a path breaking concept on various levels. From introducing premium and celebrated designers from across the borders to the Indian audience, to bringing various facets of trousseau shopping under one roof, Bridal Asia is proud to be the category innovator and the undisputed leader in the area of wedding exhibitions.

It’s the reputation and the standing in the industry that Bridal Asia was invited last year in 2012 by the leading charity Pratham , to be a part of their annual gala at the prestigious Guildhall.

“Bridal Asia presents Sabyasachi for Pratham” was a successful grand showcasing and was much feted and appreciated event in  the London society, last year.

Bridal Asia event has apparel, jewellery, sterling silver, lingerie, linen and accessories all, put together painstakingly by the top-notch names in bridal finery from the Asian subcontinent. The three-day event will once again offer the finest collection of every conceivable article for the bride and the groom and their entourage!

Catering to a broad range of consumers the collections at Bridal Asia, 2013 reflects the genius of master craftsmen’s and designers through blends of modern and  traditional,  classical and  contemporary, all these with an aim to display traditional & contemporary yet appealing & affordable wedding attires. Leading and renowned fashion designers from India and the subcontinent will be sharing the space with a bunch of talented home grown designers, poised for an entry to the big league, soon
Over the years Bridal Asia has become a launch pad for many designers who want to enter the couture and luxury prêt category. Designers like Nikasha,  Nidhi Tholia, Nupur Kanoi, Elisha Wadhwani, Shyamal and Bhumika, Pam Mehta, Arpan Vohra etc will rub shoulders with the likes of Sabyasachi, revivalist of Banarasi craft  Abha Dalmia,  Siddharth Tytler ,  Gaurav Gupta, Honey Waqar (Pakistan) and  more.

Besides the big names, Bridal Asia has also steadily nurtured newcomers and emerging designers who have gone on to establish themselves as fine couture designers. Ridhi Mehra, Ekaya , Supria Munjal and Sahar Atif (Pakistan) and few more will represent the new brigade of young talents.

Leading and unique jewellery from across the country have regularly been featured in Bridal Asia. Handpicked by Divya Gurwara, these jewelers comes from all corners of the country, from Jaipur to Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Chennai. Bringing their unique cuts and stones, interpreted in their varied regional forms. Maheep Kapoor for Satyani Jewels, Mirari Jewels, Sajjante fine jewels, Birdhichand of Jaipur   Lalit Mehta will be bringing their wares along with the old regulars like Nemichand Bamalwa & Sons,  Sanjay Tibarumals Jewellers, Umrao Jewels etc.
